Alumni House Update
Luke 6:38 – Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
In the last 5 years, we have had a transition house for men to live in who didn’t or couldn’t go out on their own quite yet. Fresh Start has been renting this house all along. We have looked at other homes to buy but we haven’t found a good fit for a long list of different reasons.
I’m glad to announce that in December of 2011 we purchased a beautiful 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom ranch style house with 1986sq. ft. of living space. The house is on a spacious corner lot, with a large utility shed, and is less than a quarter-mile from the Ministry in a beautifulCollege Parkneighborhood, that houses 8-9 men comfortably.
The men moved in on January 10th 2012 and have settled in already and made it their home. This is just one more testimony of how the Lord will bless those who are patient on Him.
We have everything we need to furnish the house except dresser drawers. We could use about a half-dozen of them (in decent condition). If anyone would like to donate one or all of them or even the money for us to purchase them please get in touch with Kelly or I and we will arrange a pick up.
